Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager. # EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and have and maintain current a Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut. Able to interpret data about the patient status in order to identify each patient#s age-specific needs and provide care needed by the patient group. Demonstrates ability to assist physicians with procedures in the peri anesthesia care setting, including cardio-version and insertion of peripheral and central monitoring lines, and epidural catheter placement. Demonstrates knowledge of airway management and the ability to use appropriate equipment Demonstrates ability to assess cardio-respiratory systems for changes and provides appropriate treatment. Demonstrates knowledge of anesthetic drugs, actions and side effects. Provides an accurate and pertinent report of the patient#s condition for safe transfer of care.
